Groups Endorse Tinubu's Re-election and Ishola for Ogun

On Tuesday in Abeokuta, multiple socio-political groups publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu's re-election for a second term in 2027 and supported Sarafa Tunji Ishola for the Ogun State governorship. Ishola, a former Nigerian ambassador to the United Kingdom and a former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, was described as a courageous leader deserving of a four-year term.

The spokesperson for the Good Governance Advocacy, Olawal Durojaiye, emphasized Ishola's extensive experience and commitment to the state's development. Akeem Ademolak from the Ogun Central Group also called for support for both Tinubu's re-election and Ishola's governorship bid, citing Tinubu's economic policies and infrastructure development as reasons for their backing.

Joju Fadairo, a former PDP state chairman, rallied support for Ishola, noting his popularity and previous public service roles. The groups stressed the importance of political harmony and unity in Ogun State to foster development.
