Ogun Waterside LG Supports Dangote Deep Seaport Project

Ogun Waterside Local Government has expressed its full support for the proposed Dangote Deep Seaport, which is anticipated to transform the local economy by accelerating industrialization and creating employment opportunities. This commitment was articulated during a stakeholders' meeting at the council secretariat, convened by the Executive Chairman, Hon. AbdulGaniyu Adetoye Odunnoiki.

The meeting included representatives from the Dangote Group, traditional rulers, community leaders, and senior government officials, aimed at fostering collaboration for the project's development. Odunnoiki praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for approving the Free Trade Zone in Ode Omi and Irokun as the site for the seaport, calling it a pivotal moment for Ogun Waterside's economic future.

Dr. Sulaimon Ibrahim from Dangote Group reiterated the company's commitment to responsible investment and community engagement, ensuring transparency and compensation for affected individuals. The meeting concluded with a communiqué emphasizing mutual understanding and local participation in the project.
