Nigeria's Crude Oil Exports Generate ₦12.81 Trillion in Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, Nigeria's crude oil exports brought in ₦12.81 trillion, representing 56.14% of the country's total exports. Despite a slight decline in the value of crude oil exports compared to the previous year, there was a quarter-on-quarter increase.

The oil sector, including petroleum products, played a significant role in Nigeria's foreign trade, with total merchandise trade reaching ₦38.94 trillion. This underscores the continued dominance of oil in Nigeria's external trade and its crucial role in sustaining the country's foreign exchange earnings.
