Ojulari's Transformative Year at NNPC: Key Achievements

Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari has led the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited as Group Chief Executive Officer since April 2, 2025.

In his maiden address, he emphasized consolidating his predecessor's successes and prioritizing aggressive growth in Nigeria's oil and gas sector. Under his leadership, NNPC has made significant strides in operational efficiency and transparency, with a commitment to deep water projects and refinery rehabilitation.

By 2025, NNPC aims to achieve gas production levels of 7.5 billion standard cubic feet per day. Ojulari's tenure has seen a record average production of 1.62 million barrels per day and a notable increase in unaudited profits to ₦5.7 trillion, representing a 6.4% increase from 2024.

He has also focused on cost leadership initiatives and restructuring contracts to enhance financial resilience, aiming for sustainable growth and energy security in Nigeria.
