Bandits Kill 15 Vigilantes in Tragic Attack in Kwara State

Tragedy struck in Oke-Ode, Kwara State, as armed bandits killed 15 vigilantes and hunters in an attack on the community in Ifelodun Local Government Area. The assailants also kidnapped an unspecified number of residents during the incident on Sunday morning, September 28, 2025.

A member of the local vigilante group, Ajetunmobi, accused the government of negligence, claiming they failed to repel the attackers. The victims included community members like Oji Saheed, Metubi Baale, and Ógba Ayo.

Ajetunmobi highlighted the need for improved security measures and criticized the government for not adequately protecting the citizens. The State Police Command is awaiting detailed information on the incident.
