Okonjo-Iweala Visits Tinubu, Lauds President for Stabilising Economy

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), recently visited President Bola Tinubu to commend his economic reforms that have stabilized Nigeria's economy over the past two years.

Okonjo-Iweala praised Tinubu for his efforts, emphasizing the importance of creating a social safety net to support citizens during economic reforms. She highlighted the need for stability to pave the way for economic growth and job creation.

During her visit, Okonjo-Iweala also launched the Women Exporters Fund and Digital Economy Fund, initiatives aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs in Nigeria. The Women Exporters Fund will provide technical and financial support to selected beneficiaries to help them weather economic challenges and contribute to national growth.

The program is a collaborative effort between the WTO, International Trade Centre, and Nigerian government agencies.
