WTO Director-General Okonjo-Iweala visits President Tinubu, lauds stability of Nigeria’s economy

The Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, recently visited President Bola Tinubu and praised the stability of Nigeria's economy. Okonjo-Iweala, who has served as Nigeria's Finance Minister twice, highlighted the importance of Tinubu's role in stabilizing the economy and emphasized the need for the country's next steps in economic growth.

During the courtesy visit at the Presidential Villa, specific details of the discussions were not disclosed. Okonjo-Iweala also credited Tinubu for the stability of the economy.

Notably, she is the 146th Nigerian woman to be part of the Women Exporters Fund for the Digital Economy, which is jointly managed by the WTO and the International Trade Centre.
