Olaopa Seeks Great Tested Managers As VCs, Governing Council Members

At the 2nd Distinguished Personality Lecture at Emmanuel Alayande University of Education in Oyo, the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Olaopa, emphasized the need for great managers to lead as vice-chancellors and governing council members in universities. He highlighted the challenges in transitioning from college to university education and praised the leadership of Vice Chancellor Olaniyan.

Olaopa pointed out the historical account of how university administrators were chosen in the past and advocated for a shift towards appointing proven managers rather than solely academic individuals. He stressed the importance of strong leadership in fundraising, strategic planning, and institutional partnerships to navigate the complexities of higher education management.
