Olaopa and Walson-Jack Launch Joint Civil Service Committee

On Thursday, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), and Mr.

Esther Didi Walson-Jack, Head of the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), inaugurated a joint technical committee in Abuja aimed at strengthening collaboration within the civil service. This initiative follows a joint retreat held on October 13, 2025, where common concerns were identified.

The committee is tasked with examining technical design elements and ensuring a seamless working relationship between the two offices. Olaopa emphasized the need for a structured framework to address anomalies and enhance the civil service's operational efficiency.

The joint committee will also implement the OHCSF Federal Civil Service Strategy Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) for 2021-2025 and prepare for the relaunch of the FCSC strategic plan for 2026-2030. Walson-Jack highlighted the importance of collaboration to correct misalignments and foster a harmonious working relationship.
