Rotimi Opeyemi Olawale Elected President of Agribusiness Club

Rotimi Opeyemi Olawale, the Group CEO of JR Farms, has been appointed as the inaugural President of the France-Nigeria Agribusiness Club by unanimous vote from the club’s founding stakeholders. His term will last for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

The France-Nigeria Agribusiness Club was established to foster agribusiness and agri-food collaboration between France and Nigeria and was officially launched in Lagos on July 9, 2016, by the Consul General of France, Laurent Favier, during the first edition of the France-Nigeria Agribusiness Series. Moses Umoru, the Director General of the Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), stated that the appointment followed a formal vote among founding partners, including Business France and the French Embassy’s Regional Economic Department.

Rachid Benlafquih, the Regional Agriculture Counsellor for Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon at the French Embassy, emphasized JR Farms Group's significance as a leading Franco-Nigerian agribusiness. Maxime Bieliaeff, Country Director for Nigeria at Business France, reaffirmed the organization's commitment to supporting the club's initiatives.
