Olayinka Wins APOEL Goal of the Month Award for April

Olayinka, a 29-year-old Nigerian forward, has been awarded the APOEL Goal of the Month for April after his impressive strike against Apollon Limassol in a cup game. He joined APOEL FC in February 2026 on a free transfer from Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade.

Olayinka has quickly established himself as an important figure in the team's attack, contributing to a 3-3 draw against Pafo FC. His experience in European competitions is notable, as he ranks among Nigerian players with the highest number of appearances in UEFA club competitions, alongside Nwankwo Kanu.

Before joining APOEL, Olayinka had a successful spell at Slavia Prague, where he became the club's highest-scoring foreign player in European competitions, registering 50 goals and 26 assists in 180 matches. His contract with APOEL is set to keep him at the club until May 2026.
