Ombugadu Rejects Maku's Alliance Claims, Accuses APC

David Emmanuel Ombugadu, the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), dismissed claims made by Labaran Maku regarding an alleged alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ombugadu's media team described Maku's allegations as completely unfounded and asserted that their campaign is based on merit rather than political pacts.

The statement, issued on Tuesday, emphasized that Ombugadu would not enter into alliances with any political party. Furthermore, Ombugadu's team accused the APC of manipulating the electoral process, alleging vote snatching and the allocation of electoral materials.

They criticized Maku for focusing his campaign on attacking Ombugadu instead of presenting his own agenda. The statement concluded with a call for decorum in future campaigns, urging political actors to focus on issues rather than personal attacks.

This response comes amid ongoing debates following the June 20, 2026, Nasarawa North senatorial bye-election, in which APC's Danladi Halilu was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
