Omizzy Discusses Music Journey and Zlatan Ibile Collaboration

Omizzy, whose full name is Ewetuga Ibukun Samuel, is a Nigerian artist who gained recognition with his debut single "One Life" in 2020. He released "Hard Work" in 2023 and has upcoming songs titled "Osimhen" and "Danfo Driver" in 2024.

His musical journey began in Surulere, Lagos, where a stage performance inspired him. Omizzy explained that naming a track after footballer Victor Osimhen was more than just fandom; it had a deeper connection.

His collaboration with Zlatan Ibile on "Danfo Driver" was particularly memorable, as he found the creative process natural due to the song's subject matter. Omizzy also shared that his family initially disapproved of his musical ambitions, prompting him to pursue a dual path of completing his education while building his music career.

He expressed his belief in evolving with technology, particularly artificial intelligence in music, and promised his fans that his future work will elevate Afrobeats on the global stage.
