Ondo Police Chief Reports No Survivors in Air Force Crash

The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu, announced that efforts to remove the wreckage of a crashed military aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Air Force are ongoing. The crash occurred in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area, with 32 individuals reported on board.
State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa confirmed on Channels TV that there were no survivors. During his assessment visit to the crash site, Ohagwu noted the challenges posed by the swampy terrain, stating that recovery operations are complicated by the area's creeks and mangroves.
He reported that both human remains and aircraft parts have not yet been recovered, with body parts and clothing scattered in the vicinity. Ohagwu emphasized the need for more technical support and larger machinery to assist in the recovery process, as current efforts are hampered by the difficult conditions.
He reiterated that there have been no survivors found thus far.
