Ondo Govt Denies Rift Between Aiyedatiwa, Deputy

The Ondo State Government has refuted claims of a rift between Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami. In a statement, the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, John Paul Akinduro, labeled the reports as false and condemned them as yellow journalism.

Akinduro emphasized that Aiyedatiwa and Adelami share mutual respect and a cordial working relationship. He clarified that the Governor had ordered the renovation of the Deputy Governor's residence, which has been completed, dismissing allegations that Adelami was staying in a ramshackle hotel or had been denied access to his official residence.

Akinduro also highlighted Adelami's public commendation of the Governor's commitment to democratic ideals and urged against spreading false narratives that could hinder the administration's efforts to achieve the goals of Ondo State.
