Ondo Guber Poll: PDP's Ajayi Withdraws Supreme Court Appeal, APC Victory Upheld

Ondo Guber Poll: PDP's candidate, Hon Ajayi Alfred Agboola, has withdrawn his appeal from the Supreme Court regarding the November 2024 governorship election in Ondo State. The appeal was withdrawn after the Appeal Court in Akure upheld the election of the APC candidate, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as the winner.

The Supreme Court noted that the appeal failed to substantiate claims under the Electoral Act and prove allegations of election irregularities. This decision follows the affirmation of the election by the Ondo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.
