Ondo SDP Governorship Candidate Bamidele Akingboye Dies - Family Requests Privacy

Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate for the 2024 election in Ondo State, has passed away at his Lagos residence. His aide, Oyeniyi Iwakun, confirmed his death, stating that burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.

Akingboye lost the gubernatorial election to the incumbent governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He is survived by his wife, child, grandchild, and siblings.

The cause of his death has not been disclosed. The family has requested privacy during this period of grief.
