Ondo State Declares Zero Tolerance for Corruption

On Monday in Akure, Mr. Kayode Ajulo, the Ondo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, stated that the state has a zero tolerance for corruption in public service. Speaking at the Post-NBA General Justice Reform 2026 event themed ‘Raising the Bar,’ Ajulo described corruption as an evil that undermines public trust and diverts resources from essential services.

He asserted that public office is a trust and emphasized that government contracts should not serve personal enrichment. Ajulo committed to strengthening due process, improving contract scrutiny, and ensuring accountability and transparency in governance.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by Chief of Staff Mr. Segun Omojuwa, reiterated the administration's commitment to judicial reforms, including increasing the number of High Court judges from 24 to 35 and employing 44 additional lawyers in the state’s legal service. The governor also mentioned the establishment of an Anti-Land Grabbing Task Force and recent amendments to laws aimed at enhancing access to justice.
