One Dead, 26 Rescued in Lagos Building Collapse Tragedy

A building collapse in Lagos resulted in one female fatality and the rescue of 26 individuals, comprising 20 males, four females, and two boys. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) responded promptly to the incident in the Oyingbo area.

Victims were provided with medical treatment on-site, with 21 individuals transferred to Lagos Island General Hospital and Federal Medical Center, Ebut Metta. The collapsed two-story building was located on Coat Street, near the cemetery off Oyingbo Road.

The agencies are actively engaged in rescue operations and providing necessary medical attention to the affected individuals.
