Tragic Tricycle Crash in Plateau State Leaves One Dead

A tragic accident occurred on Monday evening around 5 PM on Hask Road near Lamingo Golf Club in Plateau State, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The incident involved two commercial tricycles, commonly known as keke napep, which collided while attempting to avoid a pothole.

Eyewitness Joseph Haruna reported that the impact of the collision left one passenger dead at the scene, while three others sustained varying degrees of injuries. The injured victims were immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Haruna, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, described the accident as tragic and called on relevant authorities to urgently address the potholes along the road, which pose serious dangers to motorists and road users. The crash caused temporary traffic congestion along Hask Road as residents and commuters gathered at the scene.

Peter Longsan, a public education officer with the Federal Road Safety Corps in Plateau State, was contacted to verify the details of the incident.
