Three Dead in Plateau State Auto Crash at Polo Roundabout

A tragic auto crash occurred at Polo Roundabout in Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including the driver. The incident took place around 2:30 AM on Monday when a truck reportedly lost control, leading to the fatal crash.

Peter Longsan, the Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the incident to newsmen, attributing the accident to loss of control and warning drivers against reckless driving, especially during odd hours when visibility is poor. Eyewitness Musa Ibrahim, a security guard near the roundabout, described the crash as sudden and devastating, noting that it happened shortly after he heard a loud bang.

Grace Pam, a shop owner in the area, mentioned that the road was quiet before the crash occurred. The FRSC is currently investigating the incident and has reiterated the importance of prioritizing safety to prevent further loss of life.

Additionally, the FRSC Kano sector command reported a separate incident on April 17, 2026, resulting in four deaths and 53 injuries.
