Edo State Government Reenacts Education Reforms to Transform Classrooms

The Edo State Government, under Mondai Okpebholo, has started reenacting the education reforms initiated by former Governor Godwin Obaseki. The reforms aim to address the crisis in the education system by prioritizing teacher development and technology-enabled instruction.

The EdoStar Teach Fellowship Program has been implemented to recruit, train, and deploy 5,000 fellows statewide, alongside a technical and vocational teacher program. This initiative seeks to transform classrooms with a focus on mentorship, professional development, and technology-driven teaching methods.
