Adeleke Denounces Electoral Rigging Claims by Tinubu

Governor Adeleke of Osun State stated that only "electoral bandits" boast of rigging elections, countering claims made by President Tinubu. Adeleke emphasized that his administration is focused on good governance rather than electoral manipulation.

His comments were made during a meeting with party leaders across the 332 wards in Osun State, where he warned against the misuse of federal power to influence the upcoming governorship election. He called on opposition parties to cease actions that undermine democratic principles and urged stakeholders to support free and fair elections, ensuring that the votes of the people are counted.

The next governorship election in Osun State is scheduled for August 15, 2026. Present at the meeting were various political leaders, including the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly and the former Deputy Speaker.
