Tinubu's APC Lawmakers Deny Adeleke's Endorsement Claims

Members of the National Assembly from Osun State, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), have publicly rejected claims that President Bola Tinubu endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term. In a statement issued in Osogbo, the lawmakers, including Senators Adenigba Fadahunsi and Olubiyi Fadeyi, urged the public to disregard what they termed misleading claims regarding an alliance between Tinubu and Adeleke.

They clarified that there was no agreement or assurance of support from Tinubu for Adeleke in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15. The lawmakers emphasized that Tinubu had not expressed interest in endorsing Adeleke's re-election bid during various meetings, including a political meeting held during the Sallah homage paid to Adeleke's family.

They criticized the allegations as illogical and contradictory, asserting that Tinubu's support would not extend to an opposition figure like Adeleke, who has publicly criticized him. The lawmakers called on APC members and voters in Osun to remain committed to the party's campaign and support Bola Oyebamiji, who is contesting as the APC candidate.
