Kwankwasiyya Movement Defends Kwankwaso and Obi's Support

The Kwankwasiyya Movement, through its spokesperson Hon. Habib Mailemo, has rebutted former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's assertion regarding political support in Nigeria.

Mailemo stated that only Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi have true organic grassroots support. This response comes in light of Atiku's recent comments about the potential for a popular northern presidential candidate.

Mailemo emphasized that Kwankwaso and Obi have built their followings independently of established party structures, unlike Atiku, whose electoral successes were attributed to the People's Democratic Party's (PDP) strong organizational framework. The discussion also highlighted the importance of coalitions in addressing Nigeria's pressing issues, with Mailemo acknowledging Atiku's political experience while arguing that the current political landscape requires a shift beyond personal rivalries.

He called for honest conversations among potential coalition members, including Atiku, Obi, and Kwankwaso, to effectively challenge the ruling government.
