Adeyeye Says Only Tinubu and Aregbesola Can Reconcile

Former Osun Central Senator Olusola Adeyeye remarked that only President Bola Tinubu and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola can mend their ongoing rift. During an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Adeyeye, who is the South-West Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, expressed a desire for reconciliation due to its potential benefits for the party ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

He acknowledged that Aregbesola's current affiliation with the opposition African Democratic Congress could complicate reconciliation efforts. Adeyeye stated that Aregbesola's decision to remain with the ADC might hinder his return to the APC without disappointing his supporters.

He expressed confidence in the APC's prospects in the South-West for the upcoming elections, asserting that party unity is crucial for success. Adeyeye dismissed concerns regarding Aregbesola's association with the ADC as a significant threat, citing the ADC's poor performance in the recent governorship election.
