Wadada Defends Tinubu's Achievements Amid Challenges

Senator Aliyu Wadada, representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, defended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, stating that only “an open enemy” would deny the achievements made since Tinubu assumed office. After meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, Wadada pointed to key economic indicators such as the increase in Nigeria’s foreign reserves from below $30 billion to about $56–57 billion, improvements in balance of payments, balance of trade, exchange rate stability, and the capital market.

He acknowledged that while there are notable improvements, significant challenges remain. Wadada also discussed his development blueprint for Nasarawa State, known as the HEARTS Agenda, which focuses on human capital development, energy and mineral resources, agriculture, and security.

He commended the Tinubu administration for the Electricity Act, which allows states to generate electricity based on their advantages, and mentioned Nasarawa's role in Nigeria’s solid minerals industry.
