Onuachu's Brace Leads Trabzonspor to Turkish Cup Victory

Paul Onuachu played a pivotal role in Trabzonspor's 2-1 victory over Konyaspor in the Turkish Cup final held yesterday. Onuachu opened the scoring in the first half by heading home a precise cross from Wagner Pina, giving Trabzonspor an early advantage.

Konyaspor equalized in the second half through Jackson Muleka, setting up a tense finish. However, Onuachu sealed the victory for Trabzonspor by calmly converting a penalty in the final 11 minutes of the match, sending Konyaspor's goalkeeper Bahadir Gungordu the wrong way and slotting the ball into the bottom right corner.

This brace ended Onuachu's recent goal drought, as he had failed to score in his previous five league matches. The Nigerian international has had an outstanding campaign, registering 68 goals and two assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.

His return to scoring form is expected to be a major boost for Nigeria's Super Eagles ahead of upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.
