Ooni Ogunwusi Discusses Childbearing Delays and Joy

Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi of Osun State publicly addressed the mockery and personal struggles he faced due to delays in childbearing, which he described as emotionally painful. In a statement issued on Saturday by the Director of Media and Public Affairs at the Ooni's Palace, Moses Olafar, he expressed gratitude for the recent birth of twins to his wife, Queen Mariam, stating, "Thank God today, nothing God cannot do." Ooni Ogunwusi reflected on the pressures he faced shortly after ascending the throne of Oduduwa and the challenges in his marital life.

He noted efforts made to persuade his former wife to relocate, which did not materialize. He shared that he became a father at 19 and described the experience as challenging.

He acknowledged the significant role his mother played in encouraging him to remain focused and determined. Ooni Ogunwusi also expressed appreciation for the support from Sen.

Oluremi Tinubu and the Muslim community, who extended their congratulations and prayers during this joyful occasion.
