OPay Expands ₦1.2 Billion Scholarship Program with New MoUs

OPay, a leading fintech company in Nigeria, has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with four additional tertiary institutions: Benue State Polytechnic, Kogi State Polytechnic, Montgomery Polytechnic in Ekiti State, and Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ebonyi State. This expansion is part of OPay's ₦1.2 billion 10-year scholarship program, which aims to award scholarships valued at ₦300,000 to 20 students per institution annually.

The scholarships are need-based and designed to support high-performing students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. With this addition, OPay now partners with a total of 24 institutions nationwide.

The initiative reflects OPay's long-term commitment to educational empowerment in Nigeria.
