Osimhen Ranked Most Valuable Player Yet to Play World Cup

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian forward, is recognized as one of the most valuable players yet to participate in a FIFA World Cup, holding a market value of €200 million according to Transfermarkt. He ranks first on this list, significantly ahead of other players like Liverpool's duo, Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, who are valued at €140 million.

Osimhen's current market value is €60 million clear of the second-place players. His absence from the World Cup is particularly notable as Nigeria's Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2026 tournament after losing in the continental playoffs to DR Congo in November.

This marks a continuation of Nigeria's World Cup drought, having also missed the 2022 tournament. Several prominent Nigerian players, including Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, and others, have yet to experience football's biggest stage.
