Osimhen Drops to Fifth in Africa's MVP Rankings

Victor Osimhen, currently playing for Galatasaray, has fallen to fifth place in the ranking of Africa’s most valuable footballers, according to Transfermarkt data. His current valuation is €75 million, a decline from first place in 2023, second in 2025, and third ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

He is now behind Yan Diomande (€90m), Achraf Hakimi (€80m), Antoine Semenyo (€80m), and Ayyoub Bouaddi (€80m). Despite this drop, Osimhen has had an impressive start to the 2026/27 season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in two matches.

He is also the most valuable Nigerian footballer and the most valuable player in the Turkish Super Lig. Osimhen's transfer history includes a move from Lille to Napoli valued at $91 million and a subsequent transfer to Galatasaray reportedly worth $87 million.

He remains a target for clubs like Arsenal and Al Hilal as the transfer window approaches.
