Osimhen Expresses Disappointment Over Nigeria's World Cup Absence

Victor Osimhen, a prominent player for the Super Eagles, lamented Nigeria's absence from the World Cup for the second consecutive time during a social media livestream. He expressed his feelings about Nigeria's failure to qualify, noting that the country, a three-time African champion, has not participated in the tournament held in North America, which includes the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Osimhen pointed out that Nigeria's qualification campaign was poor, trailing behind teams like South Africa, Benin Republic, and Rwanda, finishing with only three points. The Super Eagles ultimately entered the continental playoff but were eliminated by DR Congo.

Osimhen, who will be around 32 years old for the next World Cup in 2030, shared his frustration with fellow squad members regarding their missed opportunity to compete on such a significant stage. He emphasized the importance of rebuilding the Super Eagles for future international competitions.
