Victor Osimhen, the 27-year-old striker for Galatasaray, landed in Istanbul on Sunday night for a medical scan to assess an arm fracture he suffered during UEFA Champions League action against Liverpool at Anfield last week. He completed the first half of the match but did not return after the break.

Galatasaray later confirmed the extent of the injury, which could sideline Osimhen for up to five months. This situation poses a significant concern for Galatasaray as they pursue the Turkish Super Lig title and domestic cup success.

Osimhen has been central to the team's efforts this season, contributing 19 goals and seven assists in 29 games, including seven goals and three assists in 10 Champions League matches. Turkish journalist Ali Naci K reported that the club remains cautious as they prepare for an upcoming match against Jordan in Turkey, focusing on Osimhen's recovery.
