Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to Headline ICOBA Lecture at Igbobi College's ₦10 Billion Endowment Fund Launch

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, will deliver the inaugural Igbobi College Old Boys Association (ICOBA) lecture on February 2.

The lecture coincides with the launch of a ₦10 billion endowment fund at the school to ensure the long-term sustainability of the college. The 94th Founder's Day celebration will commence with a communion service at the school chapel.

Osinbajo, an esteemed alumnus of the college, will speak on the theme "Endowment: Legacy Building for Generational Strength in Educational Institutions in Nigeria." The lecture is expected to provide strategic insights into sustainable funding models for educational institutions, inspiring collective action to preserve academic excellence across generations. The event is anticipated to attract prominent alumni, public officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders.

The endowment fund initiative is described as a bold and transformative step designed to secure the future of Igbobi College through investments in infrastructure, student life facilities, technological advancements, sports, arts, and digital transformation. The lecture will be chaired by Mr.

Ademola Adeyemi Bero, the 12th President of ICOBA, with Prof. Anthony Kila moderating the session.
