Osinbajo Warns of Education Decay as Igbobi College Launches N10bn Endowment Fund

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo expressed concerns about the state of education in Nigeria, highlighting the need for investment in the sector during the launch of a N10 billion endowment fund at Igbobi College. Osinbajo emphasized the importance of a strong educational foundation in shaping future leaders and urged alumni to contribute to sustaining educational institutions.

The endowment fund, unveiled by the Igbobi College Old Boys Association (ICOBA), will support the school's development, including new infrastructure and advanced learning technologies. Prominent figures like Yomi Badejo-Okusanya and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu pledged support for the initiative.

Ademola Adeyemi Bero, a lecturer, emphasized the shift towards long-term institutional stability in education asset management.
