Osonwa Launches Empowerment Program in Abia State

Hon. Chief I.B. Okwara Osonwa, a member representing the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in Abia State, has initiated a significant empowerment drive aimed at alleviating poverty among his constituents.

The program is scheduled to be officially launched on April 2, 2026, and will feature the presence of notable figures including the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, and his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu. Osonwa, who is recognized for his commitment to the welfare of his constituents, has previously engaged in similar empowerment initiatives.

This program is designed to directly benefit hundreds of constituents across various wards, providing essential items such as tricycles (keke napep), motorcycles, sewing machines, hairdressing kits, grinding machines, deep freezers, cash grants, agricultural inputs, laptops, and power generators. Osonwa emphasized that the program reflects his campaign promises and aims to deliver tangible dividends of democracy.

He also received support from local leaders and cautioned against electoral mischief ahead of the 2026 general elections.
