Oyetola Mobilizes APC Elders for 2026 Election in Osun

Adegboyega Oyetola, the former governor of Osun State and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, is intensifying political consultations in preparation for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. Oyetola convened a meeting at his country home in Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area, which included party elders, former members of the National Assembly, and former members of the State House of Assembly.

The meeting aimed to consolidate party unity and mobilize grassroots support. Oyetola urged party leaders to strengthen their engagement with the community, emphasizing that the forthcoming election is critical for the party's future.

He expressed confidence in the APC's governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, highlighting his leadership qualities and broad support across Osun. Oyetola reminded party leaders to align their strategies for the 2026 governorship election with the broader strategy for the 2027 general elections, stressing that unity among stakeholders is the party's greatest strength.
