Oyetola Mobilizes APC for Osun 2026 Governorship Election

On a recent Tuesday, Adegboyega Oyetola, the former governor of Osun State, held a meeting with APC stakeholders at his country home in Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area, as part of efforts to prepare for the August 15, 2026 governorship election. The gathering included party elders, former members of the National Assembly, and the Osun State House of Assembly, as well as various support groups.

Bolaji Akinola, the minister's special adviser, described the meeting as crucial for strengthening party unity and mobilizing grassroots support. Oyetola urged party leaders to intensify political mobilization and expressed confidence in the APC governorship candidate, Munirudeen Oyebamiji, highlighting his broad base of support and leadership qualities.

The former governor reminded stakeholders to align their strategies for the 2026 election with the broader objectives for the 2027 general elections, stressing that unity is the party's greatest strength. The event also featured a special prayer marking the 15th anniversary of Oyetola's mother's passing and an annual Ramadan lecture.
