Oyinlola's PDP Faction Endorses APC's Oyebamiji in Osun

On Sunday, a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, led by former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, publicly endorsed Bola Oyebamiji, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the governorship election scheduled for Saturday. Oyinlola stated that the faction's decision to support Oyebamiji stemmed from a lack of inclusion in the governance of the state under the current administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Despite this endorsement, Oyinlola emphasized that the group remains committed to the PDP and is not defecting to the APC. He described the endorsement as a necessary step for the progress of Osun State, asserting that the PDP's values of consultation and collective responsibility must be upheld.

Oyinlola, along with other notable party members, expressed their intention to mobilize support for Oyebamiji, highlighting the need for a different direction in the state's governance.
