PDP Endorses Adeleke for Osun Governorship Election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially endorsed Ademola Adeleke, the current Governor of Osun State, for the governorship election scheduled for August 15. This endorsement follows a ruling by the Court of Appeal in Abuja, which upheld the nomination of Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola as the party's candidate.

The court also mandated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to include the PDP logo on the ballot. The PDP stated that the court confirmed the legitimacy of its primary election, which was monitored by INEC.

However, due to time constraints for campaigning, the PDP decided to support Adeleke, who is a former member of the party. The party has called on its members to vote for Adeleke and to ensure their votes are counted.

Additionally, the PDP accused INEC of bias, claiming that the commission failed to recognize its candidate despite overseeing the primary election.
