Adeleke Denies ADC Alliance in Osun Re-election Bid

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, issued a statement denying any political alliance with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in relation to his re-election. This denial followed comments from Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC National Publicity Secretary, who claimed that the ADC collaborated with the Accord Party to prevent the All Progressives Congress (APC) from winning the election.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke clarified that his victory was achieved through the support of the Osun populace and political allies, explicitly stating that the ADC was not involved in the coalition that campaigned for his re-election. He expressed gratitude to those who contributed to his success and affirmed his commitment to govern all citizens of Osun, regardless of political affiliation.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner of the governorship election, securing him another term in office.
