Adeleke Denies ADC's Role in Osun Re-election Victory

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State and member of the Accord Party, issued a denial regarding reports from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) that suggested the ADC aided in his re-election victory in the August 15 governorship election. In a press statement released on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke stated that there was no electoral deal, agreement, or partnership with the ADC at any point during the election process.

He emphasized that his re-election was solely attributed to divine intervention and the support of the people of Osun State. Adeleke acknowledged the contributions of his political partners who supported his campaign, asserting that the ADC was not part of the coalition that sought support for his re-election.

He expressed a commitment to serve all residents of Osun State, regardless of their political affiliations, stating, “I am a governor of all Osun people irrespective of political groups, religion or race.”.
