Osun State Implements Approved National Minimum Wage

On Wednesday, during an open session at a national retreat organized by the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council in Osogbo, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke stated that Osun is one of the few states implementing the approved national minimum wage. He highlighted the administration's commitment to worker welfare, including the provision of a friendly work environment and enhanced productivity.

Adeleke assured that his administration would continue to implement measures to ease the burden on retirees and emphasized the importance of regular and prompt salary payments for workers. He also mentioned the state's efforts to maintain a cordial relationship with labor organizations and to keep open channels for conflict resolution.

The governor noted that Osun's implementation of the minimum wage includes adjustments for eligible workers and promotes career progression opportunities for public servants. Additionally, he discussed investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and local economic development aimed at improving the quality of life for the people.
