Adeleke Enhances Osun Security Amid Oyo Crisis

On Tuesday, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State outlined proactive measures to enhance the state's security architecture. This announcement comes in response to a recent crisis in neighboring Oyo State, where public school teachers initiated an indefinite strike due to the abduction of students and teachers.

Governor Adeleke revealed that he held extensive consultations with formal security groups and grassroots forces, including local hunters and organizations such as the Oodua Peoples Congress and Amotekun Corps. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination in protecting communities and schools.

Additionally, he plans to meet with traditional rulers, including Ooni Enitan Ogunwusi, to gather intelligence and strengthen community ties. Adeleke stated that the state will deploy intelligence-gathering strategies to ensure the safety of Osun's residents and will not relent in these efforts.
