APC Chieftain Urges Unity Ahead of Osun Governorship Poll

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, called for unity among party members in a statement made available to journalists in Osogbo. He urged members to work together to secure victory for the party's flagbearer, Bola Oyebamiji, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15.

Oyintiloye warned that any actions capable of undermining the party's chances, including bitter and careless remarks, would be a costly mistake. He highlighted the importance of resolving internal disputes that could affect the party's chances of winning the election, stating that a divided house cannot win a battle.

He expressed optimism about the support for Oyebamiji's candidacy and called on party leaders, including Bisi Akande, former governor Gboyega Oyetola, and others, to address grievances among members. The appeal comes amid reports of internal tensions following the party's recent primary elections.
