Omisore Sues APC Over Governorship Primaries Disqualification

Iyiola Omisore, a former senator, has filed a lawsuit against the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Federal High Court regarding the conduct of the party's governorship primaries in Osun State. Omisore was reportedly disqualified alongside other aspirants shortly before the primaries, which has triggered dissatisfaction within the party and raised questions about the internal democratic processes of the APC in Osun State.

This situation has led to increased tensions among party stakeholders and further deepened divisions within the state chapter of the APC. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing within the party to resolve disputes and restore unity among aggrieved members.

Recently, an elder caucus of the APC visited Omisore's hometown in Il to persuade him to reconcile with the party leadership, which is currently led by Minister of Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.
