APM Names Ibraheem Adekunle as 2027 Senatorial Candidate

The Osun State chapter of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has unveiled Ibraheem Adekunle as its candidate for the Osun Central Senatorial District in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The unveiling took place in Osogbo, Osun State, where the party also introduced candidates for other positions.

Adekunle emphasized that success in the elections will depend on the candidate's acceptance by the electorate rather than solely on party affiliation. He expressed confidence in winning the January 16, 2027 election, citing his grassroots connections across the 10 local government areas in the district.

Adekunle stated that elections have evolved beyond party labels, focusing instead on the candidate's capacity and credibility. He called on the people of Osun to support vibrant representatives under the APM platform, which he described as youth-driven.

APM's Osun Central Chairman, Adewale Adebayo, supported Adekunle's candidacy, highlighting the party's acceptance among the populace. Babatunde Tijani, representing the presidential candidate, also expressed optimism about APM's prospects in the presidential poll.
