Adeleke's Victory in Osun Election Shows Voter Resolve

Prince Laja Adeoye, the Lagos State governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election in the Osun State governorship election. Adeoye stated that the election results demonstrate that a determined electorate can withstand political pressure and defend their choices.

Adeleke, who ran on the Accord Party platform, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission after securing 511,067 votes, defeating the APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who garnered 444,815 votes. Adeleke won in 19 of the 30 local government areas in Osun State.

His victory secures him a second term after switching from the Peoples Democratic Party to the Accord Party. Adeoye noted that despite allegations of vote-buying and intimidation, the Osun electorate remained resolute.

He urged Lagos voters to learn from this election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
