Osun Election: Accord Party Condemns Billboard Vandalism

The Imole Campaign Council and the Accord Party condemned the destruction of their campaign billboards in Osun State, which they allege was carried out by the Osun APC. The vandalism occurred in several local government areas, including Irewole, Ayedaade, Irepodun, and Osogbo.

Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council, issued a statement urging the Inspector General of Police and security agencies to investigate the incidents, which they described as politically motivated violence that threatens the peace and democratic process in the state. The Accord Party accused the Osun APC of resorting to intimidation and destruction of campaign materials, asserting that such actions undermine the electoral process.

Pastor Victor Akand, the state chairman of the Accord Party, condemned the vandalism as a premeditated criminal act and warned that the perpetrators would face legal consequences. The statement emphasized the need for a peaceful electoral environment and called for accountability from the Osun APC.
